The 16 Yang Style Form is a shortened version of the 24 Yang Style Form and is referred to as Level 2. It is suitable for people with reduced flexibility and strength, but who still want the benefits of practicing a Yang style form.

The movements of the form are listed below:

  2. Part the Wild Horse's Mane Left (2 times)
  3. White Crane Spreads its Wings
  4. Brush Knee and Side Step (2 times)
  5. Deflect Downwards, Parry and Punch
  6. Apparent Close Up
  7. Single Whip Left
  8. Play the Lute 
  9. Step Back and Repulse Monkey (2 times)
  10. Fair Lady Weaves the Shuttle (left and right)
  11. Needle at the Bottom of the Sea
  12. Fan Back
  13. Cloud Hands (2 times)
  14. Grasp the Bird's Tail - Right
  15. Grasp the Bird's Tail - Left
  16. Cross Hands, Closing
